PROGRAM OVERVIEW
SUPPORT GROUPS: WE PROVIDE SMART RECOVERY GROUPS TO HELP THOSE STRUGGLING MAKE BETTER DECISIONS AND TO HELP THEM CHANGE THE BEHAVIORS THAT MAY HAVE LED TO THEIR SUBSTANCE USE.
DETENTION CENTER OUTREACH: WE PROVIDE SMART RECOVERY IN THE DETENTION CENTERS IN THE AREA TO HELP THEM MAKE BETTER DECISIONS IN THEIR LIVES. WE ALSO PROVIDE THEM WITH AN EXIT PLAN TO HELP THEM MOVE FORWARD AND NOT REOFFEND.
AFTER CARE PROGRAM: THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO HELP THOSE THAT HAVE JUST BEEN RELEASE FROM INCARCERATION OR TREATMENT TO MOVE FORWARD. WE PROVIDE ONE-ON-ONE APPOINTMENT WITH A CERTIFIED PEER RECOVERY SPECIALIST TO DESIGN AN INDIVIDUAL PLAN FOR THEM.
FAMILY SUPPORT: THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES SMART RECOVERY FAMILY & FRIENDS SUPPORT GROUPS AS WELL AS ONE-ON-ONE SUPPORT FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY.
NARCAN TRAINING: WE PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL TRANING ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU NEED TRAINING.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
We provide educational programs for both adults and children.
The adult program will give you the skills to talk to your child about addiction, by educating you on what addiction is and how it affects people. This program has video and discussion as well as handouts to take home for further education.
The youth program give youth the tools that they need to get out of a situation that they do not feel comfortable in, as well as educate them on the hazards of alcohol and drug use. This program also does role playing to help them understand and practice their skills. We will also discuss a safety plan for them so that they may remain safe no matter what happens
How We Work
We help those seeking treatment, by helping them get into a program of their choosing. We provide an individualized approach to treatment. We feel that you have the right to work a program designed around you and your needs. No cookie cutter treatment program here.
We also host a SMART Recovery Program at The Bergand Group on Tuesday beginning at 6pm, Port Deposit Town Hall on Wednesday beginning at 6pm, and Janes United Methodist Church on Saturday morning beginning at 10am. Please feel free to join us.
We have added a SMART Recovery Family & Friends at Port Deposit Townhall on Wednesday beginning at 6pm. This group is designed to help the family find ways to deal with the issues that they face.
